Dr. Morley Rubinoff
Dr. Rubinoff is a graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto (1974). Dr. Rubinoff completed a post-doctoral program in Prosthodontics from the State University of New York, Buffalo in 1984. Dr. Rubinoff has served as the President of the Association of Prosthodontists of Ontario, The Association of Prosthodontists of Canada and is the founding President of the Canadian Dental Protective Association. He has been awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Canadian Dental Association and received a fellowship from the Academy of Dentistry International. Dr. Rubinoff was an instructor\ mentor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto in the Graduate department of Prosthodontics. Dr. Rubinoff is a fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and teaches extensively in the field of Implant Dentistry and Prosthodontics. On a personal note, Dr. Rubinoff is the proud father of 4 and grandfather of 7 (soon to be 8). His non dental passions are reading fiction novels, vacationing in Mexico and hitting golf balls……not necessarily straight.
Dr. Edy Braun
Dr. Edy Braun graduated from the University of Toronto in 1997 with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Molecular Genetics and Molecular Biology. He obtained his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2001 at University of Toronto. Dr. Braun continued his education in the United States with a General Practice Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, and then a Chief Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
Dr. Braun continued his education at Stony Brook University and earned his Periodontics Specialty certificate in 2006. Upon returning to Canada, he became specialty-board certified by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and received his Fellowship in Periodontology in 2007. Dr. Braun enjoys being involved in teaching at courses and various study clubs.
Dr. Amir Azarpazhooh
Dr. Amir Azarpazhooh (Dr. Azar) is a certified dental specialist in two fields of Root Canal Therapy as well as Dental Public Health. He received his dental degree from Iran in 2001, his specialty training in Canada at the University of Toronto in Dental Public Health (2007) and Endodontics (2010), followed by his PhD (2011).
Dr. Azar has great interest in both academic and clinical research. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry (click here to read more), and Faculty of Medicine (click here to read more). He is also the Head of Endodontics at the Department of Dentistry, Mount Sinai Hospital (click here to read more). Dr. Azar has authored and co-authored over 150 papers and abstracts, 6 book chapters, and has presented at over 50 national and international scientific meetings. A keen practitioner of evidenced-based dentistry, Dr. Azar has a passion for collaborative decision making in teaching and in practice. Hence, he approaches patient care with the best interest of the patient in mind.
Despite his heavy load of teaching, research and clinical practice, out of the office, he enjoys life with his wife, in traveling, cycling, photography, and gardening.
Mary Liougas studied at The University of Toronto before completing her Physiotherapy degree at Daemen College, New York in 2002.
An opportunity to deliver a different style of physiotherapy saw her to establish Bayview Village Physiotherapy, where her extensive experience and perspective is effectively put to full use in dedicated one-on-one treatment sessions.
Throughout her career, Mary has had the opportunity to work in clinical, hospital and Long-Term Care settings, and has had a wide array of experience and training in orthopaedic, neurologic, pediatric, and geriatric conditions. With her advanced training in Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMD), she has also been able to identify and relieve various TMJ conditions through treatment and education.
Mary’s treatment philosophy includes using manual therapy to restore joint mechanics, followed by muscle retraining and motor control strategies to correct movement dysfunction. Mary provides individualized, one-on-one treatment and develops exercise programs geared toward the level and goals of the patient.
